Emergency Preparedness and Safety

Burbank is in the process of replenishing the Emergency Preparedness and Safety supplies to insure that each and every child is provided for in the case of an emergency. We are asking everyone’s help to make our program a success!


In relation to cost, space and time considerations, the most effective thing to do is to ask parents to donate toward the cost of purchasing emergency supplies in bulk. Specifically, we would like to provide 72-hour water supply, emergency blanket, and rain poncho for each child. In addition, we would like to stock school-wide emergency and safety equipment, such as first aid supplies, flashlights, tools and emergency radios.


We ask the parents of all Burbank students, if possible, to donate $15 per child to purchase these emergency and safety supplies. Supplies have expiration dates and need to be replenished and rotated on an annual basis. This is “insurance”; we hope to never use the insurance, but in the event of an emergency, we need to have adequate and usable supplies.
