Why Dropbox?

  • Public files are only viewable by people who have a link to the file(s). Public folders are not browsable or searchable
  • Using Dropbox on your iPad allows you to upload photos and videos from your iPad to Dropbox which then makes them available on your laptop, no plugging in required!
  • Allows you to save files as "favorites" on iPad for Offline viewing
  • Easily keep all of your files synced and readily accessible from any device or access via the web!
  • Share folders with Burbank technology carts to facilitate file transfers
  • Share folders with other teachers to facilitate sharing resources

Steps to set up Drobox

  1. Go to Dropbox website using link above.
  2. At the top right corner where it says:  SIgn in, Click
  3. There will be a link at the bottom of the box that says "Create an account"
  4. Click "Create an account"
  5. Fill out your account information:  First Name, Last Name, Email (you may use HUSD or personal), Password
  6. Agree to the terms and click Create account
  7. If you are on a laptop a download should begin for the software
  8. To download the app for an iPad, use the QR code above to get to the app store link
  9. When you launch the app from either your laptop or iPad it will ask if you have an account or want to create an account.  If you followed steps 1-6, then you can choose I have a Dropbox account. 
  10. Enter in your Dropbox account information and the app will link to your account.
  11. Go through the setup steps to activate your Dropbox! 
  12. Start adding files and organizing your stuff in the cloud!
